WWE NXT To Debut On USA Network Imminently

It looks like WWE NXT will be heading to the USA Network and not FOX as had been previously rumored.

Dave Meltzer revealed on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that the show will move into a two-hour time slot of 8PM-10PM EST on Wednesday nights on USA Network.

WWE is reportedly keen to stay one step ahead of AEW and have NXT debut on USA a week or two before AEW debuts on TNT, which is scheduled for October 2.

The reason USA Network was chosen is simply that they can schedule the broadcast better, on FOX there would be confliction between other sporting events.

Meltzer stated, “Everything having to do with the NXT show has nothing to do with these strategies and has everything to do with Vince [McMahon] is adamant they beat the number, and by that standard, USA is the one to make if they make that deal.”

Meltzer added, "There will be a live component for sure" be it weekly or bi-weekly.
