During his speech at the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Sting announced to the crowd at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas that he is officially retiring from the ring.
It has been widely reported over the last few weeks that Sting would reportedly announce his retirement at the ceremony, per reports from TMZ.com, which cited the neck injury that he sustained during his match against Seth Rollins at the Night of Champions event in September of 2015.
Following his announcement, Sting said to the live crowd, "I just want you to know that this isn't 'goodbye,' it's just 'see you later.'"
