Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Returning To The Company

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Shane Helms will reportedly be taking up a role as a WWE backstage producer, according to a report from WrestlingInc.

Helms had been working with Ring of Honor since the summer of 2018 but is expected to begin with WWE today.

Helms' hiring is part of a new drive by the company to increase their backstage producers. We recently learned that Abyss and Sonjay Dutt have left their creative roles at Impact Wrestling for WWE and both are due to begin their new roles by mid-February.
