Vince McMahon Reportedly Overseeing Major Changes To WWE Network

There have long since been plans for WWE to implement a tiered system to WWE Network and part of this tiered offering is rumored to include independent promotions appearing on the on-demand service.

According to PWInsider, WWE has switched focus from their television broadcasting rights, which have now be secured to their Network offering. Vince McMahon is reportedly overseeing the project alongside Kevin Dunn and the company's Chief of Staff Brad Blum.

McMahon is keen to bring in other interactive aspects to the network which would change their strategies for original programming.

WWE is reportedly looking at Hulu's streaming service model as a way for how they could introduce tiers and offer commercial-free programming and exclusive shows.

The company hasn't officially agreed on any final plans as yet, so anything you see out there right now is merely rumor but back in 2016, there were reports of a 4-tier plan which would range from free to $14.99 per month.

The higher end of the tiered package would offer viewers access to content from indy promotions such as  EVOLVE and Progress Wrestling, which WWE currently have a partnership with.

There is also some speculation that recent talks between Impact Wrestling officials at WWE headquarters may have resulted in an agreement to broadcast their content on the network, it would seem strange for WWE to allow the competition on the platform but one suggestion is that they would feature just archive TNA material or more focused features from wrestlers who use to work for them such as AJ Styles, Sting, Kurt Angle, and The Hardy Boyz.

Would you be willing to pay more for the WWE Network?
