Lucha Underground season 4 will begin filming on Friday at a new location, moving from The Temple at Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles to a warehouse that is a part of Union Central Cold Storage on Industrial Street in downtown Los Angeles. The reason for the move is so the production can fit more fans into the building for the tapings and also save on the cost of renting the original location.
The promotion will also base talent in Los Angeles for the entire duration of the filming which runs approximately for five weeks. The reason for this is to save on travel, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter. In addition, talent are being told they are working season 4 with the agreement that they are there for their characters to be written out of the storylines, allowing them to be effectively released from their contracts.
The production will also have a much more restrictive budget this time around and some of the bigger names used in past seasons will not be returning.
