Vince McMahon Not Understanding Why Chris Jericho Joined Fozzy

On the most recent edition of Something To Wrestle With, Bruce Prichard spoke with WWE Superstar and Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho.

Fozzy is the main reason Jericho takes breaks from WWE. His body needing a little rest following an amazing career is a very good reason as well. Whenever Jericho leaves the active roster it is to tour with his rock band

On the podcast, he discusses Summerslam 2002 and Vince McMahon not understanding why he would want to join Fozzy

The revelation began with Prichard doing his best Vince McMahon impression. “What’s with this Fuzzy sh-t? I don’t get it. Does he wanna be a wrestler or a singer?!”

“Vince really didn’t get [Chris Jericho joining Fozzy] but it was an opportunity to let Jericho do something else and change up his character somewhat” Prichard continued. “So why not? Give it a try and if Chris was successful with it, it benefits WWE and vice versa. So why not try it and he was able to change up the Jericho character somewhat and still staying true to the Y2J character.”

Good thing McMahon allowed Jericho to pursue his musical interest otherwise he wouldn't have stuck around as long as he has and we would not have Fozzy's song "Judas"
