Jim Ross Says Using The Word 'Extreme' In Professional Wrestling "Doesn't Enhance Anything Anymore"

Jim Ross recently discussed the use of the word 'Extreme' and professional wrestling, saying it doesn't "enhance anything anymore' because the product has changed. Here is what he had to say:

"Look, I'm not by any means advocating that 'oh my god, we've gotta get blood back into wrestling.' I'm not saying that at all but the fact is the product has changed. It's more refined, it's more sophisticated, if you will, for the lack of a better term off the top of my head right now. So it's not really ever going to be related to extreme. That's not a negative. It's almost like... 'extreme,' to me, is a little bit like the term 'Diva.' It kind had its shelf life and let's move on. It doesn't enhance anything anymore."
