WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross Signs Two-Year WWE Contract

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross made an emotional return home to the WWE announce desk on Sunday night at WrestleMania 33 to call the main event between Roman Reigns and The Undertaker. It would later transpire that this appears to be The Deadman's last match in which he lost and put over Reigns.

Ross recently spoke with FOX Sports about the recent passing of his wife Jan, his return to WWE and his future:

“I signed a two-year contract (with WWE) that has a specific number of dates that I’m obligated to work, which I think is good for me.” He noted that he looks at this way, he has his jersey back on and he got brought back to his home team and that his opportunities back in WWE will be multi-fold. He said that he has a lot of things that he can contribute to and that he has been so blessed in the business that he has done so many different things. He brought up that he was an administrator, syndicator, marketing representative, VP of broadcasting, and head of talent relations. He said that the fun part is what he did at WrestleMania, which was being a broadcaster.

If you're wondering will we see J.R. back behind the announcers desk, he said, “So if the team needs me to play, to work more than they anticipated because they need it, I’m in.”

The full interview can be read here on FOX Sports.
