MONDAY NIGHT RAW - OCTOBER 17, 2016

Welcome to Monday Night Raw and Team Jeri-KO come out to kick things off and Jericho talks about how when people don't do things the right way around here they end up being put on the list. Owens says at Hell In A Cell he will retire Seth Rollins

This brings out Rollins. Rollins gives Jericho a few names to put down on the list. Jericho goes to put Rollins on the list but Rollins cuts him off saying he's sure he's already on the list. Jericho says not yet but he's about to be. One thing Jericho should put on the list is his friendship with Kevin Owens

Owens says Rollins has no friends because he's not a very good person. Owens says their friendship is intact and one of them has to stay strong. Rollins says he gets it Owens has to remain strong while Jericho remains weak.

Rollins gets the crowd chanting "Sparkle Crotch". Jericho says he can beat Rollins anytime, anyplace, anywhere. Rollins says Denver is as good a place as any.

Jericho tells Owens to leave the ring, he has this and regardless of what happened over the past few weeks Owens is still his best friend. Owens agrees that Jericho's got this and exits the ring as Rollins makes his way down to ringside for his match. Raw goes to break

Jericho counters the pedigree sending Rollins to the apron. Kick to the head sends Rollins crashing to the floor as we go to break

Back from break, Jericho and Rollins are back in the ring. Dropkick from the second rope by Jericho. Jericho with a chinlock and Rollins fires back with punches. Kick to Jericho and a chop. Jericho misses with a dropkick. Rollins connects with a running knee to the face.

Lita asks the Queen where her head's at going into the Hell In A Cell match against Sasha Banks. Charlotte, in typical Flair fashion, exudes confidence that borders on cockiness.

She claims that she is The Woman, and that she is genetically superior compared to every other performer in the WWE. She also says that she is unbeaten in 12 straight PPVs and that come HIAC, she will again be the woman to beat.

GOLDEN TRUTH AND MARK HENRY DEF. SHINING STARS AND TITUS O'NEIL

Goldust kicks off the action against Primo, but very soon gets isolated in the opponents' corner. Primo, Epico and Titus take turns in tagging in and inflicting punishment on Goldust.

The legendary Superstar manages to fight them off, before tagging in Truth, who goes after Titus like a freight train. The action breaks down as both members of Shining Stars also get involved. Mark Henry is tagged in amidst all this confusion, and finishes the match with a World's Strongest Slam to Titus O'Neil.

Backstage: Chris Jericho yelling at Kevin Owens for coming down to ringside costing him the match. Jericho goes call Owens a stupid idiot but Owens stops him and says he's not one of these idiots that Jericho can put on his stupid list.

Stephanie walks in and says this is exactly what Seth Rollins wants. To drive a wedge between them and they have Hell In A Cell coming up but beyond that Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan challenged Raw to a series of tag team matches at Survivor Series and she needs her top generals to remain strong and tells Jeri-KO to get on the same page

SHEAMUS VS BIG E

Sheamus comes out with Cesaro by his side. Sheamus doesn't seem too happy to see him there, but Cesaro is there nonetheless to support his tag team partner. I like this dynamic.

New Day are out next, and they rip apart both Sheamus and Cesaro, claiming that they will show both of them at HIAC why they have been WWE Tag Team Champions for the last 420 days. Wow. What a reign. No seriously.

Meanwhile Sheamus and Big E are intent on wiping each other off the face of this earth. Cesaro is content focussing on his Facebook live feed, while he tries his hand at commentary. (which is still better than Byron Saxton, might I add)

The fight spill on outside, as Sheamus levels Big E with a rolling senton off the ring apron. However, we resume from the break inside the ring, with Big E in control.

He hits a belly-to-belly on Sheamus, who reverses with an Irish Curse Backbreaker. Back and forth action here in the match, as Cesaro is still busy mouthing off to the Facebook live feed from his phone.

Sheamus, meanwhile, is powerbombed by Big E. Near Fall! Sheamus returns fire with White Noise. Big E kicks out at 2!

Cesaro goes into the crowd and gets the fans excited, even as Sheamus thumps Big E's generous chest with 10 beats to the barrell. He momentarily stuns Big E, and goes after Cesaro, attempting to take his phone away from him. Big E capitalises on the distraction and rolls up Sheamus from behind for the three count

The winner of the match: Big E

BO DALLAS VS ADRIAN NEVILLE

Bo Dallas has come unhinged here, as he opens up at a frenetic pace against Neville, with vicious knees and elbows to the Brit. Nevilli however, counters the assault with nasty kicks to the mid section followed up with an Enzuigiri.

Bo rolls out of the ring, but Neville goes after him with a moonsault off the ropes, before taking the match back into the ring again. He sets Bo up for the Red Arrow, but is countered and nailed by Dallas for the three count

The winner of the match: Bo Dallas

Post Match: Bo Dallas wins! He then attacks his friend, Curtis Axel, who accompanied him to the ring. He slams him against the barricade before kneeing him in the face

-Commercial-

BAYLEY VS DANA BROOKE

Cat and mouse early on. Bayley in control with a clothesline in the corner. Bayley bounces Dana's head off the turnbuckle. Dana turns the tables flooring Bayley. Bayley gets thrown into the corner and a boot to Bayley by Dana. Dana pulls Bayley out of the corner. Chinlock on Bayley

Bayley explodes out of the corner with a clothesline. Flying elbow into the corner. Bayley looking for a big move from the top rope but Dana slides to the outside. Bayley with a dropkick  Bayley on the ropes gets cut off by Dana who sends her crashing into the turnbuckle and a cover for the three count

The winner of the match: Dana Brooke

Interview: Paul Heyman appears on the big screen to address Goldberg's return tonight begging him to just say no because if Goldberg does indeed say yes to Brock Lesnar's challenge then he will be brutalized and victimized by The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar

-Commercial-

BRAUN STROWMAN VS THE MILE HIGH TRIO

Strowmna makes quick work of the first team member delivering a dropkick. The two partners then both get slammed by Strowman who covers both opponents for the three count

The winner of the match: Braun Strowman

Post Match: Strowman yells at Foley that if he won't give Strowman competition then he's going to the back right now to take matters into his own hands. Sami Zayn then comes out. Zayn goes face to face with Strowman and Strowman shoves him sending him to the outside before leaving the ring

-Commercial-

Backstage: Sami Zayn is asked why he picked a fight with Braun Strowman. Zayn's answer is short "Because no one else will" and walks off

In-Ring: Lana introduces Rusev. Rusev says in two weeks he has the opportunity to crush Roman Reigns inside Hell In A Cell. Lana says not only is Rusev the greatest US Champion of all time but a family man as well.

Speaking of Reigns he runs round talking about his family and mocks Reigns' Samoan relatives. Rusev then introduces the WWE Universe to The Rusev Family

Roman Reigns comes out and says Rusev is right he has a big family but he's not talking about his Samoan bloodline but he's talking about The Roman Empire

Reigns says Rusev can call whoever he wants because at Hell In A Cell it's Reigns and Rusev and when he's done the only number Rusev will be calling is 911

Rusev delivers a superkick after Lana slaps Reigns and attacks Reigns. Rusev picks up the ring steps and blasts Reigns in the head. Reigns is then rolled back into the ring and Rusev with the second set of ring steps setting it up.

Reigns fights back and Rusev with another kick and sends him crashing into the steps. Rusev lays Reigns out on the steps and locks in the Accolades

-Commercial-

KARL ANDERSON VS BIG CASS

Anderson has his hands full with the power and size of Big Cass, who picks up a pretty straight forward victory by dispatching him with the East River Crossing for a 3 count. Enzo and Cass stay in the ring, so as to see out the segment standing tall

The winner of the match: Big Cass

Sasha Banks Interview

The Boss seems to be chipper, as she promises that she will make history at HIAC against Charlotte. She says she respects Charlotte and the journey that they have been on together, right from their NXT days.

Lita asks about the Hell in a Cell structure, but Sasha shoots down any doubts over her back, or the pressure associated with performing inside the Cell.

TJ PERKINS, RICH SWANN AND CEDRIC ALEXANDER VS BRIAN KENDRICK, TONY NESE AND DREW GULAK

3 on 3 Cruiserweight action here as 6 of the Cruiserweights that took part in the CWC are out to strut their stuff. The heels are out first, followed by the babyfaces. Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins gets the loudest cheers, predictably.

Gulak and Swann lock up in the centre, with Gulak looking to impose his physicality on the highly athletic showman that is Swann. The action that ensues is breathless.

*Blur* tag! *Blur* tag! * Blur* as Kendrick and TJ Perkins end up as the active men. I was sure that there were a couple of picture perfect dropkicks in there somewhere.

Perkins goes for the kneebar, but Kendrick manages to break the hold by getting to the ropes. They exchange blows before Nese and Swann get tagged in. Swann has the upper hand, but not for long as he is floored by Nese, who follows it up with a 450 off the turnbuckle.

Kendrick tags himself in opportunistically and locks in the Captain's Hook on Swann. Gulak holds TJ Perkins off from breaking the submission and Swann has no way out but to tap.

The winners of the match: Brian Kendrick, Drew Gulak, and Tony Nese

GOLDBERG'S RETURN

Goldbergo comes out and says it's been 12 years and thanks the WWE Universe. Goldberg says in January he got a call from 2K and had the opportunity to travel the world promoting WWE 2K17. In 12 years, he's missed a lot of things but one thing is kicking ass and being a hero to kids. He mentions his wife and son being in attendance for the first time ever as the crowd starts a 'Goldberg' chant

in his time away he did a lot of thinking that maybe he keep it in the video game. But then, Brock Lesnar challenged him to a fight but he had Paul Heyman do it for him. That got him thinking. He thought what would he do and then thought maybe he has one last ass kicking, spear and devastating jackhammer in him. Goldberg then says not only does that mean Brock Lesnar is next but it also means Lesnar is last.. Goldberg then exits the ring to a standing ovation

-END SHOW--
