Eric Bischoff Analyzes Brock Lesnar's UFC Fine, Did Lesnar Actually Lose Money?

Former AWA, WCW, WWE, and TNA personality Eric Bischoff recently lauched a new podcast called Bischoff on Wrestling. In his debut episode, he shared his thoughts on Brock Lesnar's UFC fine and wonders if it actually cost Lesnar money in the end:

"You know what’s another interesting aspect of this that I’ve been thinking about the last couple of days? I read that the fine from the state of Nevada or the USADA could range somewhere from $1.5 million on up to about $1.875 million. Which is a pretty hefty fine but think about it from an accountant’s point of view. Again, I’m totally unfamiliar with how this works but just from a layman’s perspective if Brock Lesnar was paid and earned $2.5 million for that fight that means that Brock Lesnar has to pay taxes on that earned income of $2.5 million. Which is roughly 50%. Now if he gets fined $1.875 million of the remaining $1.25 million that was left after taxes he literally lost money on that fight. This time of year I think about everything from a tax perspective."
