John Cena’s ‘American Grit’ Renewed For Second Season

FOX has renewed John Cena's “American Grit” which he took time out of WWE to film last year, according to Deadline.com. There was some concern that it may not be renewed as ratings were not exactly impressive although it did air against SmackDown on Thursday night's so now SmackDown airs live on Tuesday's there may be more of an opportunity for wrestling fans to tune in.

Producers are currently casting for a second season which means Cena, who is an executive producer of the show may have to take some time off from WWE later this year.

It's no surprise that Cena is taking a step back from professional wrestling, while he intends to always remain apart of WWE his wrestling schedule will be reduced in place so he can take up external projects like American Grit.
