No Brock Lesnar/WWE SummerSlam Announcement Made At Tuesday Night's SmackDown Taping

On Monday night's edition of WWE Raw, it was announced that the company would reveal who would be facing Brock Lesnar at August's SummerSlam event in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center on this coming Thursday night's edition of SmackDown.

However, during Tuesday night's SmackDown television taping, the identity of Lesnar's opponent for the event was not revealed to the live crowd. This indicates that WWE intends to truly keep this announcement a surprise and will obviously edit the announcement itself into the broadcast that will air on the USA Network on Thursday night.

As previously reported, there has been some speculation thanks to both The Wrestling Observer and a Reddit user that Randy Orton may likely be the one to face Lesnar at SummerSlam; however, it must be heavily stressed that this has not been officially confirmed and is only a rumor at this point in time, as there have been many other names speculated to go up against Lesnar at the event as well.
