WWE Survivor Series Returning To Canada For First Time Since The 'Montreal Screwjob'

WWE is planning a return to Canada for this year's Survivor Series pay-per-view, which will be hosted in Toronto and the first time the company has held Survivor Series in the country since the infamous 1997 Screwjob in Montreal.

It will also be the first time in seven years that the company has hosted a PPV in Canada since Breaking Point in 2009.

Toronto has played host to a number of other WWE PPV's such as Unforgiven in 2006, SummerSlam 2004 , as well as WrestleMania VI (1990) and WrestleMania X-8 (2002).

As confirmed by PWInsider and Dave Meltzer, the below is the WWE PPV calendar for the remainder of 2016:

  • June 19th: WWE Money in the Bank in Las Vegas.
  • July 24th: WWE Battleground in Washington, DC.
  • August 21st: WWE Summerslam in Brooklyn, NY.
  • September 25th: WWE Night of Champions in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • October 30th: WWE Hell in A Cell in Boston, MA.
  • November 20th: WWE Survivor Series in Toronto.
  • December 18th: WWE TLC in Pittsburgh
