First Name Announced For ROH/NJPW War Of The Worlds & Global Wars

Multi-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi is the first name announced as part of New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor's cross promotion War of the Worlds and Global Wars shows taking place next month in Philadelphia, PA and Toronto, Canada. Wrestling fans around the world have been buzzing since the announcement that New Japan Pro Wrestling talent will be appearing on Four Ring of Honor shows in May of this year. The first two nights in will be “War of The Worlds” and will take place Tuesday May 12th and Wednesday May 13th, 2015 at the legendary 2300 Arena deep in the heart of South Philadelphia Pa. The May 13th show is SOLD OUT but there are still tickets available for the May 12th event.  The 3rd and 4th nights will be “Global Wars” on Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th at the historic Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, Canada.
 
Tickets are still available for both nights in Toronto but they are going fast! New Japan Pro Wrestling will be represented by their very finest at these massive events. We will be announcing the full roster of talent at www.rohwrestling.com. The first confirmed NJPW Superstar is:
 
Hiroshi Tanahashi
 
The former seven time IWGP Heavyweight Champion is coming back to Ring of Honor. Tanahashi is viewed by many as one of the absolute finest wrestlers to ever grace the squared circle. This May, Tanahashi will return to face the very best of the ROH roster with the goal of proving the he is still the very best on the planet.
 
In addition to being a former IWGP Intercontinental Champion, Tanahashi has also held the IWGP Tag Team Championships on two occasions. His record setting seven reigns as IWGP Heavyweight Champion puts him at the top of the list as potentially the greatest IWGP Heavyweight Champion of all time in the illustrious history of the organization.
