WWE officials were apparently unhappy with how this year's Hall of Fame ceremony went. The speeches of Shawn Michaels and Alundra Blayze in particular were said to be poorly received by WWE officials.
They didn't like Alundra's speech because of some of the language she used, as well as how she praised Eric Bischoff a few times. They didn't like Shawn Michaels' speech from the start when he tore up what was apparently an actual speech that he had prepared. They also didn't like how he used words like "the strap" and "wrestler" (as opposed to WWE "Superstars").
WWE officials felt as though the entire ceremony went too long and wasn't very exciting. They even asked several of the Hall of Famers and inductors to cut their speeches short, including Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, and Shawn Michaels.
One speech that everybody did seem to enjoy though was The Bushwhackers' speech. People backstage liked how they were mostly in character but managed to tell entertaining stories.
