WWE NXT Results: 03/25/15

We start with a video recapping and highlighting last week’s events from Columbus, Ohio.

We are welcomed inside Full Sail University by Rich Brennan and Corey Graves. We start with a NXT Woman’s Championship match as Alexa Bliss makes her way to the ring. Out next is the “Boss” Sasha Banks.

Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha banks NXT Woman’s Championship match

The bell rings and Alexa hits a drop-toe hold and tries for a few quick pin attempts to no avail. Sasha hits a kick in the corner to take control of the match. Sasha keeps control with some slaps and kicks and gets a two count. Sasha hits the double knee to the mid-section in the corner and gets a two count on Alexa. Sasha puts on a submission hold in the center of the ring. Alexa escapes but Sasha counters, but Alexa counters again with a roll up for a two count. Sasha attacks Alexa in the corner but Alexa hits a head-scissors takedown. Sasha flies to the outside and Alexa goes after her and throws her in the ring. Alexa hits some slaps and kicks, she hits the “glitz-flip” and gets a two count. Alexa hits a roll through “power bomb” but only gets a two count. Alexa goes to the top rope but Sasha catches her and throws her to the mat and locks in the “Bank Statement” and gets the win.

Winner: Sasha Banks

After the match we re-cap the highlights of the match. We go to a pre-taped segment with Kevin Owens talking to Finn Balor about tonight’s match. We then see another video hyping Kevin Owens and his dominance.

We go to a backstage segment with bailey and Emma. Emma says she hates to say “I told you so”. She says she was trying to tell Bailey she was being too nice then Bayley lost to Becky Lynch. Emma says the NXT crowd will try and fool her. Bayley says they are totally different people. Bayley says the NXT Universe has helped her; Emma slaps her in the face and walks off.

We go to another interview segment with Tyler Breeze. He talks about what’s next for him; he says he wants to be the NXT Champion. Hideo Itami interrupts and says next week he challenges him to a two out of three falls match.

Rich Brennan breaks down the WWE Network WrestleMania schedule for the week and hypes WrestleMania.

We got to another backstage segment with Finn Balor he talks about his match with Kevin Owens and says he doesn’t need the Demon to beat him. A video airs hyping Finn Balor.

They re-cap what took place between Owens, Riley, and Balor last week.

We go backstage where we see Cassidy, Enzo, and Carmella talking. Blake & Murphy walk up and apologize to Carmella. They present her with a present to say sorry for last week. It’s a piece of jewelry and Enzo and Cassidy say it’s not real.

Back at ringside Finn Balor makes his way to the ring for his match. The Champion Kevin Owens is out next.

Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship

The bell rings and Owens goes to the outside and walks around. Back in the ring they lock up and Owens kicks Balor and takes him to the mat with a headlock. Balor fights out but Owens hits a shoulder tackle that is followed by a Balor drop kick and Owens regroups outside the ring as we go to a break.

Back from the break Balor has an arm bar on Owens. Owens fights back but Balor hits a basement drop kick and gets a two count. Balor re-applies the arm bar on Owens. Owens fights back with some chops in the corner. Owens hits a neck breaker of the ropes to get the upper hand. Owens assaults Balor in the ring and controls the match for several minutes wearing Balor down he goes for a couple pins in this time period as we go to a break.

Back from the break Owens is still in control of the match and continues to keep the upper hand. Balor is thrown to the outside by Owens who follows out after him. Owens tries to “power bomb” Balor but Balor backdrops Owens instead. Both men are back in the ring and Owens hits a slam and gets a two count. Owens hits a “senton bomb” and gets another two count as Owens shows his frustration. Owens hits some high power moves and gets another two count. Owens wears Balor down with a chin lock in the center of the ring. Owens throws Balor hard into the corner with amazing impact. Owens hits a belly-to-belly suplex for a two count as we go to a break.

Back from the break Owens is still in control of the match. Balor throws Owens to the outside and executes a summersault flip to the outside. Balor throws Owens back in the ring. Balor hits the double stomp from the top rope and gets a two count. Balor hits the Pele’ kick and Owens falls to the mat. Balor misses an elbow and Owens hits a huge chop, but Balor hits two “slingblade” clothes lines. Balor then picks Owens up for the double under hook DDT and gets a two count. Balor misses a drop kick and hurts his leg. Owens attacks the injured leg and focuses on that leg using everything at his disposal including the ring post this goes on for several minutes. Owens goes for a “power bomb” but Balor counters with a double stomp. Owens goes to the top rope but Balor hits the “Enziguri” kick and goes up to the top as well. Balor goes for a “Superplex” but Owens counters with a suplex from the top rope and gets a two count. Owens again attacks the injured knee of Balor. Owens hits the “cannonball” dive in the corner and goes to work on the knee again hitting a “cannonball” dive onto the knee of Balor. Owens goes for a third “cannonball” dive but Balor moves out of the way. Balor hits a running drop kick then goes to the top rope and hits the double stomp but can’t get to the cover because he is injured. Owens hits a huge “power bomb” and gets the pin for the win.

Winner: Kevin Owens

They re-cap the highlights of the match we just saw. We see Kevin Owens celebrating in the ring as the referee checks on Balor. We go off the air with Owens holding the title high in the air.
