TheDomains.com is reporting that WWE has won a legal battle over the use of the "WWE.org" domain name.
The creator of the website made the claim that the name stood for "Western Women Entrepreneurs" and was used to link to third-party websites; however, WWE, in their court filing, cited trademark restrictions.
A judge later ruled in favor of WWE and granted the company control over the use of the "WWE.org" name. The website was "parked" - reserved for future use - and the website's creator offered to sell the site to WWE for $50,000.
