Report: WWE To Strip One Of Its Stars Of A Championship

PWInsider.com is reporting that a segment will be inserted into tonight's pre-taped edition of NXT on the WWE Network featuring Paige and NXT General Manager John "Bradshaw" Layfield, in which JBL will make the announcement that Paige has been stripped of the NXT Women's Championship, with the reason being that she cannot hold that title and the WWE Divas Championship at the same time. The segment will reportedly see Paige refuse to relinquish the title, but ultimately concede to JBL's order after he tells her that because of Paige's schedule as WWE Divas Champion, it would not be fair to the other NXT Divas to not have the NXT Women's Championship to compete for.

It is also being reported that a storyline of some sort involving the NXT Women's Championship will kick off at tonight's NXT taping at Full Sail University and will air at a later date. Furthermore, the JBL/Paige segment is also expected be released on WWE.com at some point.
