WWE Official Comments On Toronto Hosting WrestleMania In 2012

WWE's official stance on the rumor that WrestleMania 28 will be held in Toronto, Canada in 2012 is that a decision has not been made, but Toronto is a strong contender. "We've requested and received several bids from cities in North America and I believe Toronto is definitely one of those," said WWE executive Robert Zimmerman to the Toronto Sun. "As far as a decision on Wrestlemania 2012, I don't believe there is any decision that's been made."

WWE would be hosting the event at the Rogers Centre (formerly the Skydome), which hosted WrestleManias 6 and 18. A representative for the building would not confirm to the Sun that they are the leading contender to host a future WrestleMania. The other top contenders are Miami and Atlanta. WWE has also not announced a decision on WrestleMania 27 in 2011.
