Steve Austin Praises TNA but is Doubtful of a War

Posted by: Wrestling-Radio.com

Last night’s RAW guest host, Stone Cold Steve Austin, recently appeared on Hardcore Sports Radio. When asked about WWE RAW and TNA iMPACT now facing off on Monday nights, he had this to say:

"I don't know if we'll ever re-create that Nitro-Raw war. WCW kicked our ass for two years, then we smoked their ass and never looked back and put them out of business.

"I wish the TNA people all the luck in the world because it means more of the boys have jobs and it gives fans an alternative.

"I don't think anyone will ever come close to really giving true competition to WWE because they're so far ahead of the game, they're rooted in their system, and they're a winner.

"I wish TNA all the luck in the world, but it's a totally different product."

If you actually looked at the footage properly of when Anderson supposedly nearly broke Orton's neck, you'll see that he landed completely flat. In my opinion, it was just people politicking because Triple H and his group didn't want to see someone outside that group to make it to the top. I do agree with Austin to some degree, but I really do hope that TNA pick up some viewers soon though. I'm still optimistic that they will get a decent followship, but not liking Hogan's new direction for the company.

I got some retorts on that...Anderson is nothing to be excited about he damn near broke ortons neck and hurt numerous others so the TNA roster should be very wary when in the ring with him. RVD's a junkie and will start no showing live shows sooner or later but i take nothing away from his wrestling talent so don't start bitching saying i'm saying he's a horrible wrestler cause he's not. As for Hardy he has a HUGE number of options ROH being one of them their a good promotion, he could go to Japan AFTER his court stuff is done. I do not condone what WWE has done to Jeff but you cannot sit there and say TNA is good right now...Hogan is destroying it, they need to go back to what was working. I will agree with mjayC and TNA Rules though those 2 should work together instead of taking pot shots they could create some bad ass programming, and i like having an alternative gives me one extra wrestling program to watch throughout the week which is nice. But with the direction TNA is going...it makes me sad.

Yea, we need more TNA style promotions out there too. If it weren't for TNA, Anderson would still be running around the indy circuit, RVD would still not be wrestlin, and Hardy would have HAD to go back to WWE, despite how they treated him. TNA all the Way!

To all the fans that HATE TNA an dont understand the importants of having a A-L-T-E-R-N-A-T-I-V-E its not just about us the fans an which organization we like the best its about the wrestlers having other places to work no matter what promotion it is an us the fans still being about to see whom ever that may be no matter where they go.
