- WWE showed a WrestleMania recall on RAW this week of Bill Goldberg pinning Brock Lesnar in 2004 as a way to plug Steve Austin's guest host gig but the company has actually been talking about Goldberg and trying to get some kind of relationship going with him.

This addresses the comment on Goldberg drawing ratings...From 1997 One year after Bill Goldberg started wrestling, by 1998 and 1999, he became as big as any superstar known. And during that time wwe even though they had Stone Cold, the Rock,Brett Hart, Shawn Michals,WWE was not doing very well in the ratings. If you saw the ratings during that time, you would know that Bill Goldberg had alot to do with WCW's high ratings and made it interesting, especially during the whole NWO time, because there wasn't any type of wrestler besides Goldberg to go against the NWO who was tough enough. Goldberg came along at the right time. What made Goldberg great was not only his size and strength, but his speed and agility. Meaning he's not a sluggish big man. And theres not to many 6ft 4 290 pound people who can do a back flip free standing. We all have are favorites and our opinions about wrestlers we like and don't, but before you say someone sucks, edjucate yourself on the facts first. As Foley would say HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!!!!!

Some of the Americans posting comments here make me sick. I can see why so many hate our country. I had to find out the hard way when I was a Marine.

Goldberg couldn't draw ratings on paper. However, Bret Hart is doing exactly what is right with WWE regardless of the money amount. WWE is correctly using Bret Hart this time. Hopefully Bret Hart will be used right at Wrestlemania. Vince is known for changing matches on the same day of the event. He doesn't do it often but does. I.E. Survivor Series 1997. And yes tho i love to watch RVD perform he has as big an ego as Hogan. Now you wonder why WWE could care less to have him back on WWE oh that and the drug issue. PS. can't we all just get along

stupid canadian Mar 11th, 2010 10:03PM
donut face is actually correct. accurate inside sources indicate Bret earning about $130,000. NOT the $500,000 you stupid canadians 'think' or hear from TV shows or websites... yes lets do 6 appearances and earn $500,000. LMFAO even sounds ridiculous. wake up canadians, we're sure you sad acts aren't really that stupid, are you? typical canadians always crying and throwing tantrums. bunch of sad maple leaf idiots.
lol Mar 11th, 2010 05:03PM
actually donut face he's correct. Before he appeared on Jan.4 he signed a contract where sources then said he did for 500k. HE may have approx 6 appearances, maybe more. For that same reason we can call you a moron saying he isn't earning 130 000$. Change your attitude you typical american no wonder you're the most hated country in the world, and stupid for that matter lol!
donut face Mar 11th, 2010 04:03PM
wrong wrong wrong... to the moron below, Bret Hart is NOT, i repeat NOT earning $500,000. for 6 appearances. you really that fucking stupid? sources say Hart is earning approx. $130,000. as far as Goldberg... won't happen. change the topic.
... Mar 11th, 2010 03:03PM
You know Goldberg can say all he wants just for attention, he can always change his mind. I mean I would if I was offered 1M $ contract just for appearances. Bret Hart is getting 500K$ for like what 6 appearances and 1 match?

And Goldberg already said on tmz that he wouldn't work for vince if he was the last person on earth
Adam Mar 11th, 2010 02:03PM
I don't know why. Goldberg's been out of the ring for a pretty long time, is gettin up there , who knows how good of shape he's really in, plus he's got an ego the size of Texas. They'd be better off trying to get Austin back in there on a basis as GM or something.
TheRayVin Mar 11th, 2010 02:03PM
Good luck with that. Vince already burned that bridge
