- For those wondering, the future of the ECW Championship has not yet been decided on. Though ECW will cease to exist next week, the belt may linger on in some fashion. Internally, some are lobbying to keep the belt, but ultimately, Vince McMahon will decide its fate and he hasn't made a decision yet. Those pushing to keep it feel it can still be used as an attraction for undercards of secondary pay-per-view events. (source: PWInsider.com)

Apparently, you can't read when it comes to my suggestion. OBVIOUSLY, the belt would have to move to a major brand (ie: Raw/Smackdown). There used to be a Hardcore Championship. Allow the ECW belt to keep the traditional name alive while defending it in hardcore matches and original extreme matches true to the first meaning of ECW. You people are retarded. Learn to read, please.

Hardcore matches suck. It always involves a shopping cart, a trash can, and a kindo(sp) stick. The match should actually be called 'two guys that can't wrestle bump onto flimsy trash cans'.

i say throw it in a dumpster like the piece of garbage it is!! that is the ugliest belt ever seen! vince killed the true ECW years ago and that sham of a show deserves to die a horrible death!! hey christian, cant believe you left TNA and having shots at a real world title to come crawling back to wwe and wear some stupid brand title that means nothing!! This is how stupid and shitty WWE is. If your gonna change ECW you have to change the belt. It's not gonna make any sence to keep the belt and change the show. It's gonna look stupid. For the final ECW they should bring back the old ECW. Wrestlers, Commentators, Stage, everythin'.

To me, it's simple. Make it like the old Hardcore championship. Only defend it in extreme rules type matches. The #1 contenders need to fight for their spot with TLC, hardcore, first blood matches. Keep the tradition of ECW alive within the new WWE.
