Hulk Hogan: Major WWE Stars Asking to go TNA

Posted by: Wrestling-Radio.com
Source: via NoDQ.com

Hulk Hogan recently did an interview with The Toronto Sun and here are some notable quotes:

"It's a creative executive position ... Jan. 4, we're going head to head with WWE. We've got to pick a fight. I don't know what's going to happen that night. If we get bodyslammed by WWE, we'll get back and go at them again."

"What we have now is the writers telling the wrestlers what to say and do. I'm coming in to push the writers aside. Sure, they still have to make it flow and block time."

"If the wrestlers need a writer to tell them what to do, they can pack their bags and go north to WWE. Writers don't have a feel and instinct for the business. They've never been in the ring. If I can't make it work, I'll pack my bags and leave."

"I want to make the characters come alive. Characters like Andre the Giant and Rowdy Roddy Piper were larger than life. That's what I want. TNA is doing a lot of things right. They have a lot of great talent. But there are a lot of major WWE stars burning my phone up, asking if they can work for TNA when their contracts are up."

"I'd had three back surgeries and had been out of the ring for 2 1/2 years," says Hogan. "I realized what my limitations were and I had to work around them. I was worried about my back, but I had no idea that my right hip replacement would pop out. It's better now. I'm good, but it was a huge wakeup call."

The honky tonk man said hogan works from the inside, I didn't think dixie carter was a dumb women, but she has offically become wrestlings sarah palin, all the old guys from the hogan era all say he works from the inside, so I expect tna to be out of business by the end of 2010, and by the way ain't no fuckin major wwe star tryin to go to tna, be for real, and a 3.0 rating, lol, tna can barely get a 1.0 on thursday so now we are supposed to believe that on monday nights they will draw a 3.0, lol.

although I love watching the Hulkster, Mick, Kurt Angle & of course Sting in action after all these years, and althou all wrestling fans know who Mick Foley, Kurt Angle & Sting are....the Hulkster is bigger and more established on a broader population basis for those people who are not hardcore wrestling fans. However, the plan to change TNAs TV schedule to Monday evenings just on the basis of signing 1 wrestler, even if it is Hulk Hogan has no explanation for the long term ...all wrestlers come & go, and all wrestlers have their prime & some get injured have to retire early & some die way too early, what if Hogan slips up and gets seriously injured, what then...? TNA just shouldn't move to Monday nights & go up against the WWE based on have signing 1 wrestling legend/pop icon, unless TNA & Dixie has alot more up their sleeve that they are not talking about, what I always wondered is why TNA did not go air Impact on the 6:05PM Eastern time slot of the old WTBS Geogia Championship Wrestling, unlesss they want an older age demographic during the weekday evenings. I do want TNA to succeed, but to go up against a 3rd generation family run world wrestling empire's flagship TV show on Monday nights on the basis of 1 wrestling legend, {to make a military analogy} is nothing more than 1 tactical strike designed to shock & awe the enemy, but to think that TNAs Impact, with the Hulkster, on Mondays even concerns Vince McMahon is ridiculous. putting this into perspective, Hulk Hogan and a roster of about 10 WWE former top headliners along with all billionaire Ted's money could only put a dent in WWE's rating for about 12-18 months, but where is the WCW today? well... you can watch WCW in the DVD "Rise and Fall of the WCW", I am excited to see the Hulkster in TNA, I also want TNA to be around 10 years from now with a roster of fresh new faces & superstars, because I know the WWE will be around 10 years from now, the last thing I want to see is WWE put out a "The Rise and Fall of TNA" DVD,

I believe that the writers help the wrestler's become more evoled with the bussiness so the wrestler's can become bigger then what they are or what they dream of becoming so I only half agree with Hulk Hogan but I believe that TNA can go head to head with WWE but at the same time I also believe that the wrestler's need some form of control so they dont say or do something that could very well anger or upset a race or group of people that could very well end up taking those wrestler's or that company to court so I dont blame WWE for having those writers help those wrestler's become bigger or better then what they thought they could be I mean look at The Undertaker or Dave Bastisa if writers did'nt have then walk or talk a serten way then fans would'nt be so into them the way they are & that's what make's Undertaker & Dave Bastisa so great because those so called ( WRITERS ) that helped Dave Bastisa become who he is then he would'nt be as big of a superstar then what he is today so of Hulk Hogan is talking about taking those writers away then he can & let's see what happens because if you give those wrestler's to much freedom to say whatever they want then I can easly say that something bad is going to happen with in TNA I mean yea TNA does have alot more talent then WWE but I personly believe that TNA is alot like WCW back in the day alway's wanting to start fight's & alway's saying that they were better in every single way but when it came down to it WCW could'nt back it up in the end so I'm ready to see what happen's between WWE & TNA but before I go I would just like to say that I'm not a big TNA fan because I think that TNA is a washed up company that will or will not go any way in this bussiness but hey I could be proven wrong some day I dont know but until then I'm not going to watch any of TNA's programes or go to any of their house shows or to any of their live events because I believe WWE is the top company & will remain the top company long after TNA goes out of bussiness so let's see what happens jan 4

I totally agree that the stars of yesterday were ten times more interesting character/personality wise, but it'll take the younger guy's working on promo's , delivery etc. Put down those video game controller's on the road an develope some communication skill's. I'm hoping for the best 'cuz RAW is stinking up my dvr right now.

yeah i think tna is gonna get a major wakeup call and get much more bigger and powerful as the new year aarives and goes on!! and with more wwe stars wanting a piece of the pie, whats mcmahon gonna do, especially running out of creative ideas! if its done right this time tna will definitely go head to head with wwe and vince will start sweating!! the story lines juss have to be tweeked a bit!! and then what a bang year tna can have!!
